Winter Haze were born in 2003 in Parma, from the meeting to Lorenzo, Giorgia, Raffaele e Stefano; this gives birth to the first line-up of Winter Haze, they start to write own songs. Different drummers played in a band, but during 2004 they found a good member in Davide Colombo. With this line-up, Winter Haze begin their live activity with a gig in Reggio Emilia, on 12 july 2004. In the first months of 2005, White Witch's first version, recorded in september 2004, is included in OndeRoad's compilation, which is now totally sold out. In december, the band recorded the first real demo, "Innocent Dream", being released in august 2005 and including four original tracks: Innocent Dream, White Witch, From Here to Eternity and Neverland. During 2005, the band plays many live concerts, managing being noticed from people working in the musical field and non. In the end of july 2005, Davide Colombo left the band and the talented Matteo Rossi enters in place of him. He worked with many bands from the metal and prog italian scene, both as a drummer and keyboard player . In august 2006, Winter Haze entering the studios to record their first full lenght, "The Storm Within". At the same time, they keep on their live activity: the band plays in many gigs, opening even concerts for bands as Domine, After Forever, Paul Di Anno. The album was release in february 2009. During december 2009 Raffaele Albanese (guitar player and singer) left a band for starting his solo project. The four remaining members don't lose faith in the projects and after some audition, found a great guitar player in Paolo Menozzi. New energy and cool sound with the joining of the new guitar player. Also seen the section of the male voice again: now they are Stefano Bottarelli (growl) and Matteo Rossi (clean) to divide the parts that were submitted to the great voice of Raffaele. The band realeased in may 2010 a video clip "Unme" (they recorded a new version of it, with a new guitar player Paolo) taken from the album "The Storm Within". Actually Winter Haze are working on a new songs and soon they come back in studio for release a promo for the second album.
THE STORM WITHIN With "The Storm within", debut album published in Spring 2009, despite the clear recall to north-european metal, Winter Haze created their own style, a successful melting-pot between symphonic metal, gothic, power, with a progressive accent. Thanks to this well-structured mixture, the band can brilliantly deal with lively power songs such as "Eyes to the dawn", or the classic metal-ballad "From here to eternity", the more progressive track "Unme" or the most gothic and dark "Deconstruction of mind".
