Vanity Cruel officially born in 2002 in Turin, in a cellar in Via Drovetti n.18, in the district of Cit Turin.

In their first activity year, the group propose himself as a Nirvana cover-band; only later on they decided  to write unpublished pieces.

In this period the band is made up of: Geko (Jacopo Biancardi) with his pounding rhythmics, Bobo (Alessandro Biancardi) and the harmony of his guitar, and finally Poly (Alessandro Politi) with his inspiration.

On July 2007, Vanity Cruel record a demo, whereby they are noticed by “Hurricane Shiva”, which put them under contract in June 2008 for the production of their first record: “Torino non dorme”; in which the group can boast a collaboration with Carlo Alberto Perez, internationally renowned percussionist, who played in "Escucha" by Laura Pausini, winner of a Grammy Awards.

The current line-up sees Jessica as vocalist, Poly on lead guitar and choirs, Bobo on rhythm guitar, Geko on drums and Martin on bass.

The phylosophy that distinguished the band, also characterizes his music, able to merge texts of no easy interpretation and compelling guitar riffs, expressing wholly the unity of intent and the desire to make fresh music, without conditioning.
