Among the founding fathers of the Italian death metal scene, Resurrecturis caused a considerable stir in the underground from 1995 to 1997 with the release of 3 demo tapes.

Following a split 7" and the re-release of second demo on mcd by pioneer US death metal label, Wild Rags Records, Resurrecturis released their debut cd "Nocturnal" in late 1998 on Dutch label Power Rds. The album was very well received by the musical press worldwide but suffered from poor distribution and only the licensed versions on picture 12" and double cassette box (w/all demos as a bonus) partially saved the day.

The "Suicidal Mission" 2000 European tour saw successful shows in Belgium, Holland, Portugal and Slovenia and ended with a near fatal car crash on the way back home. More gigs and some international festival (i.e. the infamous Open Flatuss in Slovenia as co-headliner with Cockney Rejects) were played but the following year the band entered a profound crisis and finally opted for a temporary break off.

A new album emerged in 2004 under the twisted title of "The Cuckoo Clocks Of Hell". The album, a self production, was cheered with excellent reviews and attracted some label interest in the form of a re-release by Spanish label Mondongo Canibale (run by members of Haemorrhage and GreenFly). The band's decision to offer the album (and later the entire discography) for free from their official web site with literally thousands of downloads greatly increased the underground popularity of Resurrecturis.

From Oct. 23rd to Nov. 12th 2005 Resurrecturis has toured Europe as co-headlining act for Vital Remains in the last 17 dates of the "Vital Brutality" tour, making a powerful impact on the audiences in countries like Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Few months later, starting on April 16th to May 2nd 2006, Resurrecturis goes on the road a second time for another successful tour that sees the band performing live with Impaled Nazarene, Macabre and Jungle Rot in France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Serbia and Hungary. The peak of this intense live activity are the participation to the Fuck The Commerce festival in Germany (with Hate Eternal, Extreme Noise Terror and countless more) and a co-headlining slot at the Pollution Festival in Turin in 2006.

Beginning of 2007 the band begins the recording sessions of its third album, “Non Voglio Morire”, a concept album to be intended as the first chapter of a two-record project.

The recording sessions take the best part of 2007, then the so-called producer from the studio starts working on the mix and literally disappears, not answering phone calls and emails. Several months after he presents to the band a lame mix which he pretends to be an almost complete work. The band rejects the mix and requests the recording sessions back, which are finally obtained in April 2008. Paolo Ojetti (vocalist of Infernal Poetry, who played bass for Resurrecturis on the “Vital Brutality” tour) is contacted to complete the mix and prepare the album for release.

In the meantime Janos is kicked out of Resurrecturis due to his increasingly unprofessional and dishonest behaviour. From this moment onwards Resurrecturis remains ultimately a project by Carlo Strappa.

On April 28th a professional videoclip for the song “The Fracture” is shot.

“Non Voglio Morire” has been released in May 2009 on Casket Music / Copro Records.
