NEFERTUM was born with the purpose of creating open-minded black metal, influenced by the "new school of black metal" bands like Arcturus or Emperor, trying to create a personal attitude and a recognisible style in their music. NEFERTUM comes from  the south of Italy, where Mediterranean sounds mix with Celtic, hence creating a unique and millenary music culture. The band moved from their first steps producing "Demo(n)" ; a free downloadable demo that,though its low production quality , has been well accepted by the  Italian critics due to its the main musical purpose.
After "Demo(n)" they decided to concentrate their forces on the first full-length album "Revered Lames" that will contain also new versions of the "Demo(n)" tracks. Revered Lames has been produced by the hands of 16th Cellar Studios in Rome (Hour of Penance, Theatre Des Vampires) and Uruk-hai's Omnia Malis studios. They have played live with bands like Dark Tranquillity, Dismember and the Italian Necrodeath.
