Missiva’s rock/grunge band was formed in Brindisi by 5 friends in 1997.

In these years they have reached the right mix in their own musical production. Their songs are indeed intense both in lirycs and music, in an electric, powerful and at the same time melodic musical context.

Thanks to their musical hard work that mixes dirty and distorted atmospheres, Missiva is one of the most appreciated bands of the region.
In March 2008, the band publishes its first Lp called “Sospeso”, with the “Produzioni Rock Italiane” indipendent label.
Missiva’s music is marked by the intense reality of the stories told in their songs. In their lyrics they picture people poised between their inner balance and the will to live their own lives as an unrepeatable experience.
In these years of live-performance experience, the band has played in many clubs and rock festivals, with particular regard for solidarity contexts. In doing this the band differs from the purely rock stereotype (which is usually hardly interested in solidarity) since they have always strongly believe in positive values.
Two relevant music festivals emerge from all: “Suoni per Marsabit” 2002 (“Sounds for Marsabit”), promoted by the musicians themselves, Missiva, in support of the Marsabit area, Kenya;  ”Jubilmusic” (2003), a meeting of  young people and music; Sanremo rock, one of the most rock contest of Italy.
In 2006 the band takes part in the 19th edition of “Rock Targato Italia”, the most important rock festival for rock bands and up-and-coming solists. This event has discovered and launched throughout the ages several artists as Timoria, Marlene Kuntz, Estra, Una razza, Scisma, Soon, La Sintesi, Audiorama. In the Summer of 2007 Missiva, together with 11 of  the cleverest bands in the region, takes part in “Suona per Piazzavittoria.net”: the band is placed first, awarded by the well-known musician and artistic producer Amerigo Verardi (Lotus, Baustelle productor, Virginiana Miler). 
Missiva’s album debut “Sospeso”, comes up after two self-producted promos(“Missive” 2004; “Controvento” 2005) to which follows the important cooperation with “Produzioni Rock Italiane” and “Alkemist/Quickflow”
