“Demon Project” formed in the beginning of a new century as a project of the progressive Siberian musicians. The music was a mixture of electronic and industrial-metal music. Started as an experiment, the “Demon Project” became the one of the most powerful metal bands in Eastern Russia. The first promo album “Shaman- the wolf” shocked metal scene with it unique style. The album theme was based on the myths of Altai – the highland part of Siberia. Modern world was shown through the culture of the ancients. The album was played on local radios for the several months and attracted major attention of metal fans in Siberia. In 2007 the band continued with the EP “Fear Is My Rage” that received good reviews all over the internet and e-zines. That inspired the band to make the full-length album. This album was recorded at the Megaton Studio in Novosibirsk and mastered in Sweden at Fascination Street Studio. The album called “Kara Ora” was released by “Casket Music” (UK) in 2009. Cover art for the album was created by famous artist Gyula Havancsák who made artwork for such bands as Annihilator, Grave Digger, Destruction, Nightingale, Iron Maiden, Stratovarius and many others. Gyula Havancsák also created the new band logo that was based on the symbols of ancient Siberian warriors. Right after the release Demon Project went on the big “Kara Ora” tour across Siberia. “Kara Ora” album received a great number of positive reviews from media. Title track was played on the radio stations in Russia, Germany, Spain and UK, including the famous “Bruce Dickinson Friday Rockshow” on the BBC 6 Music. In the end of 2009 Demon Project unleashed another release - an internet single “I Lead U”. The release was a New Year present to the fans and was free to download. The single contained the new song, remixes and video. In 2009 the band also started to work with the new material. In order to get the most powerful sound the band entered Fascination Street Studio in Sweden and recorded guitars, bass and vocals parts with leading Sweden producer Jens Bogren, famous by his works with Opeth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, God Forbid, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, etc. Jens Bogren also made full mixes and mastering job. Additional male vocals on the album were performed by famous Sweden musician Dan Swano (Edge of Sanity, Nightibgale, Bloodbath…). Cover art was created by Gyula Havancsák. The album got the title “Faces of Yaman” which means “Faces of Evil”. With this album the band went further in exploring the metal and industrial styles. “Faces of Yaman” is released in summer 2010 in Russia by the “Irond Records” - # 1 Russian metal label. Right now the band is looking for the label to publish and distribute it in Europe and America.
