Annihilation was formed early on 2004 when four friends mainly influenced by death metal decided to create their own sound. The goal was to create something original, not following any trends.

After two years playing and maturing that idea, it was time for the first recordings to take place. In the beginning of 2006 a demo was recorded and although it has never been edited it was used as a promo for getting gigs and festivals in Portugal. The music was well accepted within the Portuguese community and abroad.

After some struggles throughout the next couple years the band took a break for a short time, resurfacing in early 2009 with an objective in mind. To record the first album. Throughout the year the sound was polished and in early 2010 the first album “Against The Storm has been finally recorded.

The band  have signed a contract with Alkemist Fanatix Europe for management and promotion and are thrilled with this great step.
