  "ABSINTHE are founded by Stefano Zuccala (former Blizzard) and Riccardo Lazzari in Jan. 2006 in Milan, Italy. Soon the band is joined by Andrea “Kappa” Costantini (Rosko’s), Sara Frusciante and Mauro Mengotto. The band plays a bombastic and original fusion of hard-rock, pop and blues, with melodic female vocalist.

 The band shows its talent since the early days, playing gigs in the best clubs of Northern Italy and, in 2007, releases its first self-financed EP entitled "Absinthe", becoming quite popular in and outside Italy: the single "Fallin' Down", is played on Radio Lupo Solitario, Radio Propagande (CAN), DW Radio (USA) and other radios. The song has also been chosen to be part of a campaign against child-pornography, organized by Rock Against Child Pornography.

 In Spring 2008 the band records a mini-live unplugged for Dammispazio.com, showing great confidence and receiving enthusiastic feedback, and in March enters the Tizano9 Studios again and records its first full-lenght album entitled "Chapter I: Urban Fairytales”. A few months later the band signs a promotion deal with Alkemist Fanatix Europe, one of the major management agencies in Europe, and a record deal with indie label UK Division Record. The album is introduced to the fans on July, 26th, first official gig of the FAIRYTALES TOUR.

 On 20th April 2009 the album is released in Italy, distributed by Andromeda Dischi. On June, 1st the album goes on sale worldwide in all best digital stores. The European release date is scheduled for November, and the album will be distributed by Code7/Plastic head/New Music.

 In September the band decides to change its line-up in order to improve and refresh its sound: Mauro Mengotto is substituted by skilled Riccardo "Skrotos" Boccassini (former H.O.A.P), Kappa moves to keyboards and is replaced on rhythm guitar by Matteo "Benza" Benzoni (former Simple Choice)."
