Ilid... Happy to be different, the one who really is but beware... The Ilid project is simply the union of two personalities extremely sensible and particular... as soon as Ronny and Natascia met, no doubts rised up concerning the meaning of their musical and artistic affinities.Immediately their eyes met into a deep expression that made me understand they just did not want to get closed.I saw reflected in their eyes the Will and the Desire of keeping their eyelids opened as for them to see in the heart and in the soul of each other.
Both of them disappointed from their previous musical expreriences shared with cold persons; with the Will of bringing out their emotions and feelings through the music; ready to open their hearts to the whole world as to show the deepest and beautiful side hidden inside of them, they decided to converge their artistic skills into a project that took the name of Ilid which is the union of two words: I and Lid.I Lid have got the opportunity to allow or to prevent my eyes (so my heart) to see and understand...
I, Lid, I am the heart's door which gets closed or opened depending on my Will. Ilid's music has to be starred with pure eyes, possibly keeping them closed, because the view represents only simbolically the heart's door and feelings and does not get open to get or to give, but simply to give you their own world.Ilid's universe stays alive thanks to the moments fixed in a dimension where nothing is material and where some different styles of arts, such as, musical expression, visual expression, and words expressiveness, meet together to keep alive dreams and emotions.
Music takes its roots into the fusion of sounds and words composed by basic elements of the group, but even the visual element is very important for Natascia and Ronny. When we close the eyes and we just start thinking, we land (we get into) into scenes by inner meanings... that we want to pass on you because the Ilid's project brings out the light of love and the joy of life. Melodies, emotions, scenes are positive symbols in Ilid's world such as darkness, sadness and wickedness run through the eyes of unaware people. Underneath it all we know that a symbol has not a real meaning if it does not get in relation with ourselves and our emotions.If a symbol does not bring to our mind certain situations, such as bad or happy moments than it means that this symbol is not really in connection with us. Ilid is a band and their music can be translated in two words: "Hard Candy".
Contrast is their highest point obtained from the fusion of biting guitars and strange bass guitars which converge together through a melodic and soft voice. Listening Ilid it is like riding roller coaster: suddenly you feel the stomach coming up and than you just get relaxed for few seconds..... This is an incredible game of emotions. The Human being does always try to bring wickedness to the highest point but has ever anyone tried to bring positivity to the highest point? Just close your eyes, think about joy and draw some images in your mind: what you see it's Ilid.
