The Dilaemma were born in 1993 in order to form a rock band that could express their deep thoughts with both music and lyrics. Very soon the band started to play in different clubs of the neapolitan area and, from 1998, all around the nation; always playing their own songs. Possessing a notable "live" experience, in 1999 the band started to concentrate on recording the first demo-cd, which contained three songs ("Don’t leave”, "Choices" and "Superman") and was named Promo 99; anyway the band never refused to continue its live activity all around Italy. In May 1999 the band reached the third place in the "Fifth Festival for New Musicians" which took place in the Diana Theatre in Naples; in August, the band joined the sixth edition of “Rock Night ", which is a great concert organized every year in Castellaneta Marina (Taranto) with ten rock bands coming from all over the nation; in December the band reached the second place in the national festival Augusto Daolio in the Sulmona’s Theatre (L’Aquila). In January 2000 the band won the "Rock Nights" festival in Pratola (L’Aquila) and joined the “Rock Targato Italia" festival. In February the band joined, with the song "Vale", the "S.O.N" (Sulle Orme dei Nomadi) cd, distribuited in Italy by Warner label. In May 2000 the Dilaemma recorded ‘Dilaemma 2000’, their second demo in the Sonica Sound Lab Studio in Florence; there were three songs in it: 'Lies', 'Lucifer' and a new version of 'Don’t leave'; the cd was recorded by Mauro Forte while mastering and editing were by Bruce Morrison (producer of C.S.I.). Since June 2000 the band has its own internet site: "http://digilander.iol.it/dilaemma/"http://digilander.iol.it/dilaemma. In November 2000 the band made a promo video of ‘Don’t leave’ and recorded ‘Dilaemma 2000, second part’, its third demo which contained ‘So soon’, ‘Tom’ and ‘Friday’. In October 2001 a new demo-cd was recorded: ‘Dilaemma 2001’ with ‘Wasted days’, ‘Rebirth’ and ‘Fly (it’s time)’. In May 2002 the band joined a compilation-cd produced and published by the Intersound label and took part to the radio program ‘Demo’: a program of the main italian radio channel, RadioRai1. In 2004 the band took part to 'Understreet Compilation' by Piramusic Records with the song 'Sguardi'. On the 1st of June 2004 the brand new website was born: www.dilaemma.it. On June 2005 the band plays at 'Giovani Espressioni' festival in Novara, Italy, opening the act of italian singer L'Aura. With the 2007 year the band gives its sound a strong change by returning somehow to research of melody they started with, but with the experience of the recent years.
