The Backjumper project takes inspiration from the late century’s rock-metal-alternative movement and fills it with the infinite and opposite musical influences of each band mate.
This fusion, so, creates an unstable mass that they try to define through the word ‘crossover.core’: a modern sound with a 90’s
taste, really incisive on stage, Backjumper’s favourite dimension.
The band was born in 2003, when Vasco joined Francesco, Dario and Giuseppe, already together in another previous project. Finally, after trying lots of other guitarists, the band found a man really interested in the project and with a load of good musical tastes.

His arrival improved the feeling and the work on the tracks.
In the spring of the same year Backjumper recorded their first four-tracks demo,simply titled “Backjumper”.

Then new complex and powerful songs were created.Backjumper began to acquire their own style, feeding its development during the incendiary live shows.
In the meantime the band wrote new stuff, enough to give shape to the first full-length, called “Alter Ego”. It was the portrait of Backjumper in its first year of life. Many specialized webzines and magazines seemed to appreciate the work and rated it with encouraging words.

Backjumper were ready to dive again in the songwriting and in the live-shows, but the work get slow for a long critical phase of Giuseppe…who left the band in August 2005. A few weeks later paCMan joined Vasco, Dario and Francesco.
He already was the lead singer of another combo, that soon abandoned to become a Backjumper member at 100%. With his belief and great vocal abilities the band reborn stronger than ever, starting to work on the six tracks of “Trust No1”, their latest demo-cd, released in July 2006.
